Look, we're mechanics, not data brokers. When you bring your rig to Gloomrend Fortress, we need some basic info to fix your truck and keep our shop running smoothly. That's about it.

This privacy policy's gonna walk you through what we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it safe. We don't sell your data or do anything shady with it - that's not how we roll. Been in this business long enough to know trust is everything, and we don't mess around with that.

Personal Contact Details

When you book a service or reach out to us, we'll ask for your name, phone number, email, and business address if you're running a fleet. Pretty standard stuff - we can't call you when your truck's ready without a phone number, right?

Vehicle Information

We keep records on your truck - make, model, VIN, mileage, service history, and any specific issues you've had. This helps us track what's been done and what might need attention down the road. Trust me, you want us remembering that your transmission's got a quirk or two.

Payment & Billing Info

When it's time to settle up, we process payment information. We use secure payment processors for credit cards - we don't actually store your full card numbers on our systems. For fleet accounts, we'll keep invoicing details and payment history.

Website Usage Data

Like most websites, ours collects some technical stuff - your IP address, browser type, pages you visit, how long you hang around. It's mostly so we can see what's working and what needs fixing on the site. We're not tracking you across the internet or anything creepy like that.

Service Delivery

You can ask to see what info we've got on you. We'll show you what we're holding - service records, contact details, payment history, the works. Just give us a call or shoot us an email.

Correct Mistakes

If something's wrong - wrong phone number, old address, whatever - let us know and we'll fix it. We want accurate records as much as you do.

Request Deletion

Want us to delete your info? We can do that in most cases. But heads up - we gotta keep some records for legal and tax purposes (usually 7 years for financial stuff). Also, if you've got an active service relationship with us, we need to keep your vehicle history to do our job properly.

Opt Out of Marketing

Don't want maintenance reminders or promotional emails? No problem - just tell us and we'll take you off the list. You'll still get essential communications about active service appointments though.

Data Portability

Want a copy of your service records to take somewhere else? We'll give you your data in a readable format. We're not gonna hold your records hostage.

How to Exercise These Rights

Email us at service@gloomrendfortress.info or call (604) 555-8742. We'll need to verify it's actually you (can't just hand out customer info to anyone who asks), but we'll get you sorted within 30 days.

If you're not happy with how we handle your request, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd rather work it out with you directly though.
